First, a careful listen for any young, excited children up past their bedtime. And then for any parents who might be hiding in the corner, desperate for a glimpse of the man himself. When he couldn’t hear a sound, not even a whisper, he held on tight and peeked inside, making sure the room was completely clear. When he was certain, down the chimney he went! He reached for his sack and picked out the presents. There was something for everyone! He placed them down with pride, keeping quiet as a mouse. He grinned widely for a moment as he imagined the children’s faces.
